Search for young singers, dancers and musicians to feature as soloists!

The Live for Music Tour would like to find exceptional soloists for our high school concerts. We're looking for singers, dancers and musicians under the age of 18. For information on the Live for Music Tour, please visit our website.

We're looking for soloists to feature in our concerts, and we're still booking all the upcoming high school shows. We started a YouTube contest between schools simply because we were receiving too much demand and had to figure out a way to select the schools we visit. So here's what you could do to be a part of Live for Music:

1-Send us a YouTube video of you performing one of Shaun Barrowes' original songs. You'll find some of the other audition videos here.

2-Help one of your local high schools win a Live for Music Concert. Show this website to one of the teachers at the school (they can be in charge of any music ensemble at the school--choir, glee, drumline, jazz band, dance, etc.) and help them put together winning videos for the contest.

If you help your own high school win, you'll definitely have the chance to be featured as a soloist. Otherwise, you can take your chances and hope we book a school close to you. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

Lead Singers wanted for major International Tour

Shaun Barrowes from Fox TV’s American Idol, and Stephanie Castagnier from NBC’s The Apprentice are searching for the best singers to put on tour. They have established The Live for Music Tour, and they’re overbooked. Shaun Barrowes is personally headlining 80 concerts, with an average sized audience of 1,000 people. Now he’s looking for singers with star quality to headline 10-40 concerts (depends on your level of expertise). This would put you directly in front of 10,000-40,000 people, most of whom are high school students. You will also be supporting a great cause, as these concerts benefit Child Cause (Child Cause raises teen drug awareness by inspiring through the arts).

As part of the Live for Music Tour, you will be performing with the high school’s choir, jazz band, drum line, orchestra and Dance Company. These school music groups will accompany you in a major concert production that will be televised and broadcast internationally.

All expenses for the tour will be covered by Live for Music. You will also be compensated for every concert. These are PAYING gigs. Pay is TBA. The tour starts FALL of 2011.

The goal is to make you famous in each of these cities, so we can make sure these concerts are a BIG deal to the school and the community. We’re looking for singers we can turn into celebrities. We have a couple of TV shows we’re producing to help with this, as well as major publicity campaigns that we launch in each of these cities.

Instructions for submitting:
To submit for this listing, we need you to record and post a YouTube video of your performance to one of Shaun Barrowes’ original songs. You can find free minus tracks and lyrics on his ReverbNation page. If you would like a lead sheet for any of the songs, please email us and we’ll send that to you, also for free. Your video should be titled: “(Your Name) auditions for Live for Music”. In the description, you should include the name of the song and the artist (Shaun Barrowes). In order to qualify for this tour, your YouTube video needs to reach 1,000 views (this is so we know you're a SERIOUS artist!). This WILL NOT be a competition to see who gets the most views. Once you receive 1,000 views, your video will be judged fairly with all of the others.

RULES:
This submission is open to ALL Ages. Your YouTube video must have at least 1000 views and it must be a video of the artist's performance to one of Shaun Barrowes original songs. Artists can submit as many videos as they want. Artists can interpret Shaun Barrowes music however they want, and produce any version or rendition of these songs for their video audition.

Please email us if you have any questions: liveformusictv@gmail.com

...And I Dance Lyrics

…And I Dance

Vs. 1
Your words are all related
To the winds that pass me by
A beat has resonated
From the corners of my
Mind if I
Step outside
And jump back into me
‘Cause on my skin
And deep within
Is a burning melody

Chorus
…And I dance
Like I’m pushing through the crowded street
Cause I just gotta move my feet
…And I dance
Like I’m banging on an open door
To try to release the flow
…And I Dance
Like I need to fill the spaces with noise
Because without dance
What’s the point

Vs. 2
The road to me’s congested
I stand in my own line
It’s time for my confession
To the people I’m
Behind the wall
And above it all
Is a song that carries me
Back inside
My fragile mind
That strengthens to the beat

Final chorus:
…And I dance
Like I’m pushing through the crowded street
Cause I just gotta move my feet
…And I dance
Like I’m banging on an open door
To try to release the flow
…And I Dance
Like I never felt love before
And I’d find it beneath the floor
…And I Dance
Like I need to fill the spaces with noise
Because without dance
What’s the point

Next week is my biggest performance, ever!!

So remember that time when I was on American Idol and had the opportunity to sing for 30 million people? My Live for Music Tour is BIGGER than that! That's how big this is, and the very first show we're doing is at Maple Mountain High School on Sept. 8th and 9th. It'll be televised and every high school in the country will see it. About 350 high school students are involved in this production. My band and I will be performing with the full sound and lighting rig. I've got singers, musicians, drummers, dancers, a big screen and everything else to make this show AWESOME!

If you want to come to this show, you need to buy tickets ASAP! 350 high school students are currently selling tickets which means both nights will sell out soon. You can buy tickets, here:

http://mmhs.nebo.edu

It's the Nebo School District, and the school is Maple Mountain. You have to register to buy tickets, but it only takes a second. Tickets are $10 and all of the proceeds are donated to the high school's music and arts program to help SAVE the arts at public schools. Help me save these important programs and buy your tickets right away.

We hope to see you there!!

Show your support for our Live for Music Tour!

As you may or may not be aware, many high school music programs across the country are being downsized or completely cut due to lack of funding. This is a real tragedy, since the appreciation of music can have such a profound effect on so many lives. The goal of our tour is to raise awareness of this issue and to give these music programs a needed boost. We've booked over 20 high schools around the country for our first Live for Music Tour and are very excited about the potential of this tour.
